Burglary

Most burglars prefer to hit commercial property rather than private homes, they`re favorite are retail stores. Burglars can enter retail stores during business hours and check the inventory, the prizes and where they need to go to get the best stuff, that makes it a lot easier to steal and sell the stuff afterwards.

Some of the major techniques that burglars use are:
- Most work in groups, one serving as a lookout while the others ransack the place
- The targets are often acquaintances
- Some call the occupants from a pay phone, if the phone is still ringing when they arrive, they know no one is home
- Some stake out residences to learn the occupants routine
- Most avoid occupied residences, considering them high-risk targets

There are different reasons why burglars like to hit the same target more than once:
It takes less effort to break and enter a home known to be a suitable target than an unknown or unsuitable one, the burglar is aware of the targets layout, Goods that could not be taken out the first time can be taken out now, escape routes are known and  the conditions of the environment have probably not changed.

To become a professional and good burglar, the novice gets taught by a professional and he needs to learn the four basic skills: They must learn the skills needed to commit a good break and enter, that means gaining entry in buildings, selecting the right targets, selecting the right items and knowing how to use the equipment.
Another skill is to be able to team up with others and form a criminal gang, it is important to choose the right people for the job. The third skill would be that they are able to get inside information, they know whats inside, they know how to avoid getting caught and they spend less time getting the stuff. The last skill is to find fences or buyers for the stolen stuff, after stealing the stuff they need somebody to buy there stuff so that they still get a reasonable profit.
These skills can be learned by either being a highly respected gang member, by knowing somebody in the neighbourhood who is a professional burglar or by having spend time in prison.

Auto theft Canada

Auto theft happens because of a variety of reasons. The most common reason is that people steal a car for the parts, after they stole the car they separate all the parts and sell for a very low price. The next very big reason would be joyriding, people steal a car not for a profit, just for fun and experience. The third and fourth reason are long- and short-term transportation, short-term means that people steal a car to go from A to B, long term means they keep the car for personal use. The last reason is commission, people steal cars to use them in other crimes.

This is a list of were most cars in canada are stolen:
  1. Regina, SK
  2. Abbotsford-Mission, BC
  3. Winnipeg, MB
  4. Kelowna, BC
  5. Brantford, ON
  6. Saskatoon, SK
  7. Edmonton, AB
  8. Vancouver, BC
  9. Calgary, AB
  10. Montréal, QC

On average there are about 420 cars stolen in canada every day, which leads to one car in every 3 1/2 minutes.

The most stolen cars in canada are toyota venza, the honda civic, ford F350, the cadillac escalade and the chevrolet trailblazer. Those are the most commonly stolen cars, because they are the most commonly used cars around.

The best ways to protect yourself is to either own one of these cars,

  • 2011 Audi A4 Quattro
  • 2011 Buick Regal
  • 2011 Ford Fiesta
  • 2011 Hyundai Tucson
  • 2011 KIA Rondo
  • 2011 Audi Q5
  • 2011 Chevrolet/GMC Equinox/Terrain
  • 2011 Hyundai Elantra
  • 2011 Nissan Murano
  • 2011 Nissan Rogue

  • and/or to protect your car on different ways. The most valuable ways to protect your car is to keep it in a good shape, to not leave valuables inside, to garage it or at least parking it in a safe area, to simply just lock it when you leave it somewhere, to take the steering wheel with you or to drive a manual, because a lot of people can't drive manual.

    Sexual assault

The reason why sexual assault got more and more socialized in males is, that in the culture we have today only women are told to be aware of being sexualy assaulted by men, parents always tell their daughters to be aware of creepy guys and not to dress provocatively, but most parents don`t talk to their son and tell him not to commit sexual assault. It's a big reason why so many women get raped in our society, women growing up by being told to always be aware and guys who get a completly wrong picture of what is right and wrong.
In today`s society a lot of boys are told to 'be a man' at a lot of things they are doing, but that's wrong.
It's telling them that if they are not tough enough, they are not a man.
That is a big factor in sexual assaults, because a lot of those boys think that they have to do that to be a man and to fit in today's society.
So, yes I think a lot of the 'sexual assaulters' are hypermasculine, they learn that behavior from today's society, coaches, friends and the media, which is probably the biggest factor.

    Canadian murderer

    Marc Lepine
Marc Lepine was a canadian man who went on december 6th 1989 to the École Polytechnique at the University of Montreal with a semi-automatic rifle and he killed 14 women, hurt 10 women and 4 men.
Marc Lepine was a strong anti-feminist and on the 6th he went into the school with the only goal to kill as many women as he can, he had a small rifle with a lot of ammunation (in the magazine and extra), he went into the building waited till after 5pm, stood up, got out his rifle and went into the first classroom, told them that he hates feminists, with that phrase he started going through the school killing women and after killing his last victim Maryse Leclair by shooting her and then stabbing her to death he shot himself, because he heard the police coming in.
Marc Lepine killed those women, because he was a strong anti-feminist and he thought it would be better to kill as much of them as he could, that was his reason which he told in a letter, feminists has ruined his life, he was depressed and frustrated and he wanted to relief his anger on the feminists.

According to the theories of Levin and Fox, Marc lepines mass murder was motivated by vengeance, his revenge was specified on a group (feminists).
Also one of kellehers theories, politics and hate, explains the act of Marc lepine.
He was ideologically motivated and he showed that in an act of terrorism.

I think we can and have learned a lot about mass murders and I helped us a lot to understand why they are doing what they're doing, but it's still hard to prevent a mass murder from happening.
Most mass murders are done by people who grew up in a bad environment and they are calm until the  day they 'explode', so it's hard to say how's going to commit a mass murder.

Why has BC consistently high rates of criminal drug offences

I think there are many reasons why there is such a consistent high crime rate in British Columbia and there are many theories about it. I personally think the main reasons are that getting drugs in and out is way to easy, that is also making the inland drug traffic bigger. There should be more controls because people can get it fairly easy from america to canada or the other way. The next reason is that growing the plants for the drugs (like marijuana) is way to easy, there is a lot of space in BC where people can grow their drugs without any problems. Next big reason is the high gang activity, right now BC has about 133 organized crime groups, 800 members in those as well as at least 30 street gangs. Those gangs are very organized, parasitic, highly mobile and in may there have been 18.000 marijuana plants in about 20 greenhouses all owned by street gangs.

    BC Crime link : http://www.vancouversun.com/news/police+bust+international+drug+ring/9063055/story.html

The police has broken up a crime ring that smuggled cocaine and methamphetamine worth more than 35$ million dollar. You can explain that crime pretty good with the rational choice theory, those guys weight the risk of getting caught with the money they will earn and they thought it would be more rewarding to commit crime, the strain theory, those guys maybe failed the society's expectations so that they took the way of crime and the social disorganization theory, because some of the criminals maybe grew up in a difficult behavior.

    Crime theory

My own crime theory is a mixture of different theories that have been made throughout the last years/centuries. I think crime happens basically, because criminals think different than other people, they grow up in a different behaviour than people who are not committing crime, they saw things others haven`t seen and their brain works different, that means that criminals sometimes need the crime, because they are addicted to it. The last point is that sometimes criminals (especially serial killers) have a low self-esteem and they like recognition and that`s one reason for them to commit crime.

My example for my theory is the serial killer John Eric Armstrong he had 5-18 victims and his way to torture and kill those people was to rape and strangulate them. His goal was to kill every prostitute he ever slept with. The reasons are not known but it could be because he had a tough childhood.
John Eric Armstrong was obviously thinking different, when he was a kid his father abused him and his brother died and that was really hard for him. He started murdering with 19 years and after that his low self-esteem wanted more recognition and he kept on raping and killing prostitues.
